Maxisms of the summer....

These have all been posted on Facebook for the world to see.  However since this blog is something I'd like them to see forever I will capture it here as well.

  • My parent's cat just jumped under the table at Max. His response..."what the hell was that?"
  • Max just told Jason "if I had new tennis shoes I could beat you in a race. I'd run really fast in a straight line"
  • We are watching men's gymnastics and we were trying to get max to watch the guy on the high bar and he walked off saying "I'm not impressed"

  • "Mom you look a little fat...right there" patting my tummy.  UGH!

Day 3....Rain and Sun

Started off on the rainy side but cleared up and it ended up being a wonderful day of play on the beach and some fun at Putt Putt

Noah with 2 hole in 1's.  The pirate ship being one of them

Nice form Max

Day 2...Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!  What a great way to spend Father's Day for Jason.  The sun was shining and it was beautiful.  We had breakfast, celebrated and then headed to the beach.  Within an hour the boys were done playing on the beach.  They wanted to see Madagascar 3 and then we went out to dinner to celebrate the best Dad in the world.  Dissapointing since the rest of the week is iffy with the weather but still fun nonetheless

Day 1...Overcast but Great

Day 1 was pretty overcast which actually made it nice.  No burns the first day of vacation.  The beach has changed this year.  Last year the beach was really wide and clear of seaweed.  This year very narrow and lots and lots and lots of seaweed.  The boys don't mind and it's still the ocean and sand to play in.  We made dinner and then went crabbing again.  The crabs are even sparse this year.  We have to wait until it's really dark to find them, last year at dusk they were coming out.  We were smart though and brought nets this year to catch them instead of worrying about getting pinched.

It's summer....it's time for the beach again

We decided to return to Galveston this year and stay in the same house.  Oh how nice it is to be back.  We had a rough start to the trip.....window broke so we got a late start out and hit Houston weekend/5 0'clock traffic.  What should have been 4 1/2 hours turned in to almost 6.  It's fine, we are here.

Upon arrival we ran straight for the beach.  Let the boys play in the water clothes and all.  Went and grabbed dinner at Cafe Michael Burgers and then went night crabbin'.  We caught a bunch of ghost crabs and blue crabs.  Of cours we didn't have our camera.  It was a lot of fun.

Vivid Dreams

This is Noah interpretting his dreams through art....

Jump at your own risk....

Max got a trampoline for his birthday.  They are entertained 24 hours a day on that thing!  So far no one has gotten hurt.

Pirates, Pajamas...Videos

Pirates, Pajamas and a 5 year old

Max turned 5 April 24th.  He has grown up so much this past year.  It's hard to believe - where has the time gone?  It goes by way too fast.  He had his party at Tulsa World of Gymnastics with a pirate theme and since it was 10:30 in the morning he asked all his friends to wear their pajamas.  Pirate Donuts, party favors were Tshirts I made with jolly rogers, compass, and treasure maps (and I didn't get a picture of any of it....boo!)

 Happy Birthday Buddy!!!

I made t-shirts for Jason and I just like the kids got.  I added bows to the girls and eye patches to the boys

Max's favorite present.  Treasure box and stuffed animal from Nana

PreK Tball Max

Max's turn at TBall.  He's pretty good when he applies himself.  I have to remind him 1000x's to stop playing in the dirt.  I caught him picking something up off the ground and put it in his mouth.  I thought it was his gum.  I walked out onto the field and said "Give me your Gum".  He said "I don't have any gum".  Me "Well what did you put in your mouth?"  Max "A seed".  He had picked up a sunflower seed off the ground at 3rd base and ate it.  Me "Please don't do that".  I was so grossed out.  Guess he didn't get enough for dinner prior to the game?......BOYS!

Colors of the Crayon Box.

Max had his school music program (April 12th). It was so much fun and we are so proud of him for singing and participating.  He was really happy to see us in the audience and hammed it up for the camera.
